1. The prayer tree can be used as part of 'free prayer'. Set the tree up and allow people to write on the leaves as desired.

  2. Use during station worship as an engaging activity.

  3. Use the apples for more substantial prayers such as church wide wishes of condolences or prayers for individuals. The church can then write individual prayers on the leaves.

  4. Write guiding words on the apples such as 'Thank You' or 'Sorry'. Tie a different apple to each area of the tree and then get people to write prayers centred around that particular word.

  5. Use the tree as part of a guided session. Write words, phrases or verses onto the leaves and tie them onto the tree. Get people to go up a randomly select a leaf (no browsing!) and get them to talk about or reflect on the word written down.

  6. Use the harvest mix of leaves (red orange and yellow, please request at time of order). Talk about the turn of the seasons and the bounty that they bring.

  7. If you don’t want to use the leaves (or haven’t bought any in time for that sudden assembly/guest cancelation/woops forgot I was meant to be leading that moment) you can always use small luggage tags. These can be bought from the post office or WHsmiths often in bright colours. This gives a slightly different look and feel to the activity.
