1. The pieces can be arranged in so many different shapes - if you want they can even be arranged into a cross.

  2. In small groups which meet once a week each child can colour in one of the days and discuss what has happened on their square.

  3. In larger or church groups the advent calendar can be displayed and someone picked out to read the piece of paper and put up the next piece of the puzzle.

  4. Have an scavenger hunt in church. Hide all the pieces (in very easy to find places) and then get the kids and adults to find all the bits of the journey.

  5. Or just buy it for yourself. If bought for individual use then a nice addition may be magnetic tape which can be stuck to the back of each piece and used to hold the piece of the story to the fridge
